Single‑Day Recording at Middle Fork Studio
Get a full day in the mountains to actually finish something.
Most “day sessions” feel like a race against the clock. At Middle Fork Studio, you get a full day in a quiet mountain town, just far enough out of Boise that your phone finally shuts up and the songs get your full attention.
Whether you’re cutting a single, knocking out live band takes, or building layered arrangements, the room, the gear, and the view are all working for you instead of against you.
What you get
• A full day (up to 10 hours) of recording with J. Carmichael as producer/engineer
• Access to the full studio: Neve‑style Chameleon Labs preamps, tube compression, Pro Tools, drum kit, amps, mandolins, guitars, basses
• Rough mixes at the end of the day so you leave with something you can listen to, share with bandmates, or send to a mixer
• Light snacks and coffee; town is close enough for a quick food run if needed
If you want to finish the song(s) with a Nashville mixer or mastering engineer, we can talk about that up front and build it into the plan.
Who this is for
• Songwriters and bands in the Americana, folk, punk, and rock lanes
• Artists who are tired of noisy hourly studios and want a calm place to work with someone who actually listens and helps shape the songs
• People who want to get out of the city for a day, make real progress, and go home with something they’re proud of
Rate
• $400 for a full day of tracking and rough mixes
• Ask about multi‑day or EP/album pricing if you want to block off several days in a row
